A Champagne and Sparkling Wine Lesson

If you are going to open a bottle of sparkling wine or champagne, you need to hold the bottle at about a 45 degree angle. Make sure that you are not facing anyone or any breakable objects because the cork could injure someone or break something. Try to hold the top of the cork and twist so that it does not fly through the air when opening.

When thinking about a wine to pair with your meal, do not forget to include champagne and other sparkling wines. They can range from very sweet to very dry. Usually these wines go well at the beginning of the meal. It pairs well with salty snacks and light dishes like cheeses and fruits.
